Toast to Pensacola’s Women of Inspiration Gala Event

The Women of Inspiration campaign is coming to a climax with the Gala on December 5.  All of the Women of Inspiration will be at the event as well as other special guests. The night will have inspirational speakers and plenty of time to share good times with other women who wish to share their support with those who are facing difficult decisions in their life path. It will be a night of INSPIRATION and will bolster everyone’s desire to move ahead as women, no matter where we are on life’s journey. We will unveil the community-nominated 2009 Inspirational Woman. All of the Women of Inspiration will receive special gifts from locally owned businesses and there will be goodies for all in attendance. There is limited space, so if you are interested in attending please email me with your contact info. There is no fee to attend but it will require that you have a ticket to get in. So if you are interested in going please email me: trista@lookwhojustblouin.com and I will get you signed up.

Where do we conduct our photo session?

Most clients are perplexed as to where they can hold their photo session. Many are surprised to hear that their own backyard is the best place, especially for children under the age of four. The child’s comfort level will come through in the photos. Second best is the home of a close friend or family member. There is often a great familiarity that the child has at these individuals’ homes and they can feel just as relaxed as if it were their own home. Here are a couple of boys whose session was held at their grandparents.

One Last Hooray!

This family found out that they were moving north away from our beautiful beaches. They contacted me to photograph their family so that their children could look back at these as they grew. Good times – great memories, all captured in portraits.

Cuteness to the Tenth Power

This little girl is in my baby plan so I’ve photographed her at birth and will do so again at one year. But here she is at the sitting up stage and she is oh so precious.

Oh I just love baby chub!

There is something so cute about chubby cheeks, Budda Bellys, and rolly-thighs. Here is an adorable 6 month old from Navarre…

Is a Black and White Photo Just a Black and White Photo?

There are so many types of ways to use the medium of black and white photography. It is simply staggering to consider how many ways an artist can interpret a photo in its raw form and then translate that onto paper. Look at this session and see how the various uses of b&w created various moods…

Fall/Holiday Session Availability

I’ve gotten a few emails from past clients wanting to know when they should book their fall session to have the photos back before Christmas or in time to send Christmas cards. Here are my deadlines:

  • To get Christmas Cards back by Thanksgiving you need to have your session on or before October 14.
  • To get Christmas Cards back at around 2 wks before Christmas you need to have your session before October 31.
  • To get your photos back the week of Christmas (to give as gifts) you need to have your session prior to November 13.

I currently am almost full for September, so if you want to get in for this fall, please don’t procrastinate (I am the queen of procrastination so I do understand).

Here are a few photos from a recent session…

Adding On

I love it when I get to photograph all of the family’s newborns through the years. It is especially fun to see how much the little ones I captured have grown up to be “big” brothers or sisters. Here is one such family.
