Broken Foot
December 6, 2006
So guess what happened to me on Saturday? I tripped and fell off an uneven sidewalk, sprained my ankle, and broke my foot. I am in a half-leg cast with strict orders to keep all weight off of the foot for at least 4 weeks. I have crutches to get around. I will be on a forced vacation excluding all currently existing clients in my process. Fortunately, I’ve completed all holiday shoots!
I have to say that I am deeply moved by the outpouring of support I’ve received from friends. These individuals have offered to drive me around, go shopping for me, and make meals for my family. Wow. It really moves my heart as, recently, I sadly lost the support of my extended family for religious reasons. To have so many people step up to the plate for no other reason then they care about me, well, it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you, each one of you, you’ve done more than just come to my physical aid, you’ve soothed my battered soul.
This photo is for you. It represents the setting of painful memories replaced by renewed anticipation of great things to come. It is of my oldest daughter.
Here’s to a dark, painful transition that leads to a brighter tomorrow.
