I enjoyed photographing these two very nice teen girls over in Navarre. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Fall Schedule
Now that fall is just about here, I want to remind my readers of my fall/early winter schedule so that there will be no surprises if you decide to call and book.
I will be leaving for North Carolina to shoot this Thursday evening and will be back in the office next Tuesday morning. I will be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary from the 5th-7th and have scheduled shoots for the 8th and the 9th.
The week of the 10th, I am completely booked.
The week of the 17th, I have one opening, the 19th.
The week of the 24th, I have one opening, the 28th.
The week of October 1, I am completely booked.
The week of October 8, I am completely booked.
I will be shooting in Maine from the 11-14.
From October 17th onward I am pretty open.
Bear in mind that if you want photos for Christmas cards that can be sent out no later than one week prior to Christmas, you will NEED to have your photo session before November 11.
If you want photos for Christmas gifts, you will need to have your photo session before November 18.
My suggestion? If you want anything for the holidays, you book now and don’t procrastinate.
Edited to add: Sept 19th is now booked.
Edited to add: Sept 28th is now booked.
Any other bookings in Sept or early Oct will need to be on the weekend. The weekend commission fee begins at $250. See my website for additional pricing info.

Beach and bubbles
Another curly headed little girl. How lucky am I to have photographed two 1 1/2 yr old cutie pies in the same week?

Exploring
Let me ask you this… What new thing will you find tomorrow? What lesson is in store for you? And how do you feel about the possibility of the aforementioned occurring? Can you honestly say that you are excited about what is around the next corner or have you fallen into the emotional rut of dreading new experiences?
Take a lesson from this 1 1/2 year old She may have been hot and in new surroundings but she did not hesitate to explore all that surrounded her with a gusto. I could barely get her to stand still for even a second, there was way too much to discover. May we all get back a little of that attitude toward our daily lives.

You think this is hot, you should feel Dallas
This family was over from Dallas, staying in Sandestin. It was so hot and I could tell that they were dealing with it better than I was. I think it was the father who reminded me that they were from Dallas, TX and that this heat was par for the course. I do think it is what you are used to. I remember when I lived in MN and would come down to Destin in the winter months. I would be in shorts and wading in the water when it was 65 degrees, and I thought it was so warm. Now, when it is 65 degrees, I’ve got a sweater and a jacket on, and I would have to be insane to wade in the water at that temperature.
I guess it is all relative.
Can you believe how adorable this little guy is?

Very hot!
The heat wave has been tough on everyone. I’ve tried to shoot very early in the morning so that the heat isn’t quite so unbearable for the little ones. Here is one of the sessions that took place early, a family from Georgia.

Family vacation
Memories of seagulls crying, waves crashing, salty, sticky skin, sand in every crevice, happy times with your loved ones.

Play…no age limit
I’ve been under a lot of stress lately with so much to do. I’ve relieved a lot of that stress by playing. Playing with with kids, playing with my husband, and playing with my friends.
We all need our diversions, those times when we can let go of our mental baggage and just enjoy ourselves. If we can be with those we love, all the better.
Here is a couple I photographed playing.
