Bring on the belly laugh
Just one of those photos you post next to your bed if you are not a morning person and so want to be one…

And here is another photo from the session that had the neatest looking lens flare.

Happy as a Clam
This family took a vacation out to Pensacola Beach and had me photograph them enjoying their time off. Doesn’t this young man look like he is enjoying his “break?”

Oh Joy!
Sheer unabashed excitement, released within the confines of the cathedral of live oaks and pines.

Mom and Daughter Session
I was commissioned to do a session with a mom and her growing daughter, she wanted to capture this special time between her and her daughter before the girl got too much older. I understand this desire. As the mom of 5 and 6 year old girls, I already see them starting to need me less. I’m instinctly drawn toward the desire to pull them in really tight. I want to hold them really close to me for just a little longer. Good thing about portraits, they immortalize a time, a stage in life.

Ready to Go
This mom is 39 weeks, I don’t think I’ve ever photographed anyone this late. I loved her beach ball belly, so adorable!

Expressive Cutie Pie
This little girl had me cracking up almost the entire session. She had the most expressive body. From the way her eyebrows raised in excitement to the way she pointed her toes when I would peek around the edge of my camera.

Doesn’t she make you smile?? Don’t deny it, you’re smiling right now.

Yippee!!
These two sisters were living it up on the beach this past weekend.

A daughter never outgrows her need for mommy snuggles.

Blue Ridge Mountain Weekend Shoot
I had an amazing time up in the mountains of North Carolina photographing a fantastic family. The grandparents hospitality was amazing, and the view was breathtaking. The little boy I photographed was as happy as they come. Always a gentlemen and a one-stop comedy shop, Mr. O, aged two, kept everyone hopping. My favorite line during the trip was when he was starting to show his tiredness during a car trip and when asked whether he thought he should close his eyes and take a nap he said, get this, “yes,” and proceeded to close his eyes and fall asleep. Yes folks, he really is TWO!
Here he is with his dad trying to figure out why the “bug” lady (that’s a whole ‘nother funny story) is lying on the ground. Notice the fingers….cutie pie…

See that spark of curiosity and creativity? Is it any wonder his dad is an architect and his mom an interior designer? Where will life lead you Mr. O?

On the last day we were there, we all went up to Grandfather Mountain. It was very foggy. Very beautiful and mysterious. This is one of my favorite photos. They were headed on to this suspension foot bridge that was very high over this gorge. What a neat experience of heading into the unknown with determination and courage, and there is Mr. O leading the way.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. C for your wonderful hospitality; I had a great time!
