We all have them in our lives, those people who you can’t wait to see again, those individuals whose hearts are made of solid gold. I’ve photographed this Navarre family three times. They are very special to me. They are kind, giving, gentle souls that light up any room with their positive aura. Their toddler aged son always makes me feel lucky to be a child photographer.

What I’m thankful for

The girls and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving Day yesterday and I hope you enjoyed your time with your families. One of our traditions is to write “Grateful Cards.” Before we eat our dinner we take some time to write down the things we are thankful for in our lives. On my list this year I wrote down how grateful I am for such amazing clients, many of which have come to be my closest friends.

I won’t romanticize my job, I know running my business takes hard work and lots of time and energy, but when I am standing on the beach with my camera and one of my little clients bursts into giggles as she is chased by a wave falling at her heels, all that work feels very worth it! When a mom and dad shed tears as they watch images of their baby during their first glimpse of their slideshow, I know how lucky I am. So thanks to all of you who have blessed me with opening up your hearts and homes so that I can create images that reflect the emotions and moments that define the uniqueness of your families.

When you wake up to the sound of waves and they gently lull you to sleep in the evening, your personality and demeanor can’t help but be laid back. This Pensacola Beach father and son were very calming and soothing to spend time with.
