Are you the type that jumps right in or bides your time?
May 19, 2008
I worked with two little guys with opposite personalities in this regard. One would have dove headlong into the ocean if given the chance, the other stayed at least 40 ft from the shoreline (just to make sure), one immersed his face in the fountain spray, the other would rather just sniff flowers on the sidelines watching his brother get soaking wet.
So, please share…which one describes you, and why??

Dear Trista:
I don’t even need to tell you which type I am, do I? Like Randy Pausch says ‘people can go through life being an Eyore or a Tigger’. I have always been a Tigger, very often to my own detriment. But I’d rather have the blunders and embarassments that come when living life with abandon than living it carefully and cautiously. It is certainly foolhardy but what the heck, I want to make the most of the time God has granted me here. It could all be over tomorrow. No regrets!

Great quote! I am a Tigger as well. I spent a large share of life trying to be an Eyore though. Life is too short, I completely agree.
